A white fleshed mid season cultivar. Bears heavily. Fruit stores well over a four week period. Fumigation causes deterioration in overall fruit condition.

This variety has great potential. Fruit matures at an ideal time for the pre-Christmas market. Fruit is attractive and similar in size to Dawson. A distinct advantage is the spreading growth habit of the tree making it easier to pick than many of the other erect varieties that are in commercial production at present. Fruit stores moderately well in comparison to other varieties. However, as with other varieties, fumigation causes a deterioration in overall fruit condition, and reduces storage life.

Fruit stores well. Disadvantages include slightly small fruit size and an erect and vigorous growth habit. Fruit matures immediately prior to Christmas and would be too late to meet an export Christmas market.

This is one of the main cherry varieties grown in Japan. It has a pink skin with white flesh and is very sweet. It is a of cherry, but firmness should be able to be increased with application of gibberellin.
