Black cherry aphids, Myzus cerasi, on cherry leaves

These pictures include adults and nymphs at various stages of development. Young aphids which will become winged adults (alatae) have wing buds on each side of the body. These wing buds are absent in young and adult apterae, and even in the very young alate nymphs.
