Sejanus albisignata, a potential predator of leafroller eggs and larvae

Sejanus albisignata is a predatory bug of the family Miridae which feeds on a wide variety of prey. It has not been observed to feed on leafroller eggs and young caterpillars but is common in IFP and organic orchards throughout New Zealand. Leafroller larvae and eggs would at best be only a small part of the diet of Sejanus, which feeds predominantly on other prey (e.g. European red mite).
