Oechalia schellenbergii, a pentatomid predator of lightbrown apple moth larvae

Pentatomid bugs feed on a variety of prey but Oechalia schellenbergii has long been recognized as a predator of leafroller larvae, including lightbrown apple moth. It has usually been oberved feeding on late stage caterpillars, but it probably also attacks younger larvae. The levels of mortality attributable to this predator are unknown.
