Cermatulus nasalis, a pentatomid predator of brownheaded leafroller larvae

 

Pentatomid bugs feed on a variety of prey but Cermatulus nasalis has long been recognized as a predator of leafroller larvae, including brownheaded leafrollers. It has usually been oberved feeding on late stage caterpillars, but it probably also attacks younger larvae. The levels of mortality attributable to this predator are unknown.
