Pheromone traps should be placed well within pipfruit blocks at the rate of at least one trap per 2 ha. Additional traps may be required in situations where there is a highly variable orchard environment. For orchards smaller than 10 ha, traps should be placed at the following densities:

2 ha or less - 2 traps

3 ha - 3 traps

4-9 ha - 4 traps

10 ha or greater - 1 trap per 2 ha.
