Leafroller pheromone trap

Moths are attracted to the trap by lightbrown apple moth pheromone which is slowly released from a rubber cap. This can be seen in the centre of the removable sticky base on the left. Pheromone caps last six weeks in the field, and the bases three weeks, unless heavy insect catches or dust reduces their effectiveness even sooner. The traps should be hung at a height of 1.2-1.8 m.
