go back Trigonospila brevifacies - parasite of leafroller caterpillars

The parasitic fly was introduced to New Zealand from Australia in the late 1960s, particularly to reduce populations of lightbrown apple moth, an Australian leafroller species. The fly has been found to parasitise other pest leafroller species (native to New Zealand) and some other native insects.
