go back Tydeid mites - mainly fungal feeders

Tydeid mites move rapidly. Their leg movements are so fast as to appear almost like vibrations. They are most frequently seen on the lower surfaces of leaves, close to the main veins and often in the angles where veins join. They may also occur at the calyx of apples. Many tydeids have a characteristic white or pale stripe down the back.
