Pupae of Sympiesis sp., a parasitoid wasp of leafrollers

Several of these eulophid wasps are produced from a single leafroller caterpillar. The leafroller head capsule is visible on the left of the lefthand picture. The wasp pupae are initially pale buff in colour but they darken as they mature ready for emergence.
