go back Noctuid egg batches

The most common noctuid caterpillar causing damage in apple orchards is Graphania mutans. Egg batches are laid on the trees and the hatching caterpillars disperse to feed on the foliage for a short time before descending to the ground cover. Egg batches are also sometimes laid on the fruit close to harvest.
